Introducing WeChat 5.1

The Philippines topped the list in "The Texting Capital of the World" and the country has witnessed the growing market for smartphones. Now, the mobile revolution is not just focused on messaging but with other functions as well. Social networking that's accessible via smartphones, including games, chat and call features are just some of the things that greatly attracts everyone's attention.

Thus, WeChat 5.1 was launched. WeChat is the most-searched social messaging app in the world. It is easy to download this free app or update your own version of WeChat and enjoy the latest features such as games. The launched was held at the Manila Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel in Makati last January 23 and Steve Zheng, the Business Development Manager of WeChat flew all the way from China just to introduce WeChat 5.1 and its new features plus its cool games.

SALE FINDS: Promod Envelope Bag

I've been eyeing this bag for a few months now but was too "kuripot" to buy it. I usually favor big tote bags where I can almost fit everything including groceries, or sling bags because I need not put in down, or backpacks- yes, I use backpacks. ;)

But I really fell in-love with this one because of the color and material. Its just that I won't be able to fit everything in it except maybe my wallet, keys, and phone so I didn't buy it then.

BOOK REVIEW: I Wish They Taught Money In High School

I've been a fan of Robert Kiyokasi's books- Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant book so I was surprised when I read "I Wish They Taught Money In High School," a 2-in-1 book by Sharon Que and Clarissa Serina- De La Paz. These two writers didn't just read Kiyosaki's books, they applied the principles themselves in their own businesses and how the dealt with their money.

Once A Havie, Always A Havie

Several years ago when Havaianas was still new in the Philippines, I used to go crazy buying the latest models and even ordered more than several limited edition pairs that you can only buy abroad. Havs are flipflops made with buttery soft rubber. So comfy on the feet and nice as driving slippers. Even my hubby and daughter owned several pairs.

Over the years though, I've become more choosy and maybe sensible because I only have two feet. Some of my pairs I gave away to my nieces and goddaughters. By the way, the ones I gave away were unused pairs of course. I still have more than several here at home and since daughter and I share the same shoe size now, she has a lot of limited edition havaianas to choose from.

SALE FINDS: Mango Cocktail Ring & Cuff

I was with my friend yesterday and we made an unplanned detour in Robinsons Magnolia. We were supposed to go to T.Morato for some drinks but since we already had winescapade at the Quezon City Sports Club when we attended a book launch so strolling in the mall was our best option.

Most of the stores in Robinsons Magnolia are on S-A-L-E so it was really hard to resist the temptation to shop.

Mango Cocktail Ring, P195.00. I had this fascination with cocktail rings lately and Isabel can attest to that. What attracted me to it was the turquoise stone in silver setting. Very bohemian!

BOOK LAUNCH: Katipunan Ng Mga Kids

Last December 28, Isabel and I chanced upon a book launching activity at Mt. Cloud Bookshop along Session Road, Baguio City. The book being launched was "What Kids Should Know About Andres and The Katipunan" by Weng Cahiles.

I love everything about the Katipunan since my grandfather was a katipunero and was promoted to "Tiniente" by Macario Sakay. My family has the original signed document. Will make a post about that soon.

DC Shoes Shopping

After attending the Rumble Yard event at Solenand 2 in Nuvali last December, Isabel got excited because it seems that the latest craze in Sixth Grade (she's a sixth grader) are sneakers and hi-cuts. I remember when she's in Grade Five it was hoodies! Hayyy kids talaga. Anyways, I didn't realize that my kid is knowledgeable when it comes to other sneakers brand and DC.

These beauties caught her eye and I even wanted to have one for myself- feeling teenager! I love the colors and they're comfy to wear also.

Puerto Del Sol: A Hidden Gem In Bolinao Part1

Went to an unplanned out-of-town travel with family friends before New Year 2014. The road trip led us to Baguio, Bolinao, Dagupan and Manaoag.

After a day and a half in Baguio (we didn't really enjoy since traffic was pretty bad and lots of people every where), we hied off to Bolinao, Pangasinan. I thought at first that its going to be a short ride but it took us 4 hours to get there from Baguio. We passed by Kennon Road then via Bonoan, Dagupan till we reached the outskirts of Bolinao. From the highway, the resort is about 5-7 kms away. But upon arriving at Puerto Del Sol, I realized that the long trip and the sore back and cramped legs was all worth it. It was definitely one of the finest beaches in the Philippines.

I Want A PLDT Cyberya Negosyo

I first heard about PLDT Cyberya Negosyo from my friends who attended the Work-At-Home seminar last November and I was intrigued by how easy it is to use and practical on the pocket too.

So here's how it works- PLDT will provide you with this unit that includes a computer, games, and an internet package. All you have to do is feed it with money to be able to use it. So if you feed it with P10, you have a P10-worth of internet or gaming time. This is quite different from the usual computer/internet rentals where you will be required to avail of a minimum 30-minutes to 1-hour computer rental and you may even have to talk to the staff again if you want to continue what you are doing. While with PLDT Cyberya, all you have to do is feed it with coins to be able to continue. Very hassle-free.

Solaire's PAG-ASA SA PAG GISING

For tickets, you may get in touch with Ticketworld at 891-9999 or Solaire Concierge at 883-8987.
