Camayan Beach Resort

Summer is almost here so planning a trip to the beach is on top of our list. Of course, there's also a preference for beaches which is just a short drive from the city especially for Metro Manila dwellers like me.

Here's a lovely beach resort which is just 2 and 1/2 hours drive north of Manila--- Camayan Beach Resort in Subic. What's notable with Camayan Beach Resort is the beach itself. The water is really clear and you can actually see different kinds of fishes that is not shy to approach you. You can also bring or rent a snorkeling gear. However, there are some parts of the beach that is pebbly and has tons of seaweeds so wearing an aqua shoes is a must.

If you are familiar with Ocean Adventure, Camayan Beach Resort is just several meters away.

Here's the three-storey hotel.

Here's our room which is good for a family of four (2 adults + 2 kids). The room is not that big though but spacious enough since you'll be spending most of the time swimming though. ;)

The rooms has a small veranda with tables and chairs and has a view of the restaurant and the sea. We had fun hanging out here especially in the evening.

The Reef Bar and Restaurant. They serve yummy crispy pata and kare-kare. Can't remember the price though.

There are indoors and outdoor tables. Its nicer to dine al fresco especially during breakfast when the sun is not that hot yet.

It is nice to swim in the beach the whole day because it is not that deep. Sunset watching is also a must. Swimming is not allowed by 6pm though or when it is dark already. We had a nice time though sitting on the sand and listening to the waves. And since there's not much light around, you can also enjoy stargazing.

And here's a colorful and breathtaking twilight.
